This poster is used in Singapore to encourage and persuade people to quit smoking. The type of persuasion used was arousing fear in the viewers. It uses the peripheral route to persuasion using the peripheral cues. It results in acceptance in viewers, without much thinking. By looking at this poster, many smokers do not want to end up like her. Thus they will accept the information to stop smoking and call the quitline located at the right hand side of the poster.
