This poster employs the central route to persuasion. It is analytical and requires processing. Drivers who often drink and drive would find this amusing. It does makes sense. Would they go home by calling for a cab and leaving their car there overnight? Or would they take the risk and drive? Or would they end up in an accident and be sent to the hospital in an ambulance? Or would they get caught and get escorted home albiet in a police car? This amusing serves to let drinkers think for themselves since they can agree or counter argue. It is more thoughtful and people focus on the arguments. Interested parties do respond with favourable thoughts. Being less superficial then other forms of advertisements, it is more like to influence behavior does making it the best way to stop drivers from drinking and driving by forcing them to think about their own well being.
